  1. The sample includes weekly data from September 28, 2020, until April 18, 2021, for each of the 26 cantons, amounting to \(N=754\) weeks. The stringency sub-categories are normalized by their respective maximum value and multiplied with 100. The infection incidence reflects the number of confirmed cases per 100,000 residents during the respective week. \(\Delta\) denotes the first difference operator and ln the natural logarithm
